“Self-doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.”
Truth. Truth. Truth. Many times we feel the words Self-Doubt and Failure are synonymous with each other, because failure can sometimes lead to self-doubt, but failure isn’t permanent, failure is just a lesson that teaches us what not to do again. If you think about it, failure should be more synonymous with lesson learned.
My goal with this particular vlog/blog is to break the chain that ties these two ideas together self-doubt-failure. I want to separate them, because here is the truth, you have to try to fail, and many times self-doubt keeps up from even attempting to try. It holds us back like our feet our cemented to the ground.
If you have an idea and you truly believe in it, then go for it. If you fail, get back up and try again until you succeed. Sometimes we “fail”, because our path is meant to go down the other fork in the road, we just don’t realize it, but whatever your path is, don’t stop. Keep going. Life is about taking chances to make our dreams come true, whatever that dream is. Every dream is important and the only way to know is to try.
So you, the reader, and me, we’re going to work on ridding ourselves of self-doubt, because it serves no purpose, except to hold one back. Many things in life will always try to hold us back, or pin us down, but it is up to us to not let that happen. Remember, failure is just a lesson on what not to do again, self-doubt means you’re not attempting to try.
Believe in yourself. Repeat these words daily, “I believe in myself. I believe in my dreams.”
