Take a few moments of the morning or evening, or even in the afternoon (or all three) to remind yourself to practice self-love. You don’t have to squeeze all of the topics into one exercise, in fact, you may not even need them all. Sometimes the topics that ring the loudest in our head as true are the only ones we need to focus on, but I will ask that you continue with the affirmations.
Affirmations can be so pivotal in maintaining self-love. Sometimes it can be that feather duster that wipes away all of the incoming muck that tries to break us down, so be sure to practice those daily and find new ones that fit your day or your purpose. Keep doing them until it is a habit.
Practice can seem like it’s a job or a chore, but all it is that you are doing creating a wonderful habit. You deserve to have self-love and you deserve to be kind and wonderful to yourself. The more you love yourself, the more your moods can pick up and start changing for the better. It’s not guaranteed, but it certainly is a good start.
Be kind to yourself, practice this as much as you need to and do this exercise as often as you want. You can write them all down and challenge yourself daily if you like, just don’t forget you. In the race we call life, we often forget to take are of ourselves, and this is why sometimes self-love takes a back seat to everything else.
Make self-love a priority. I’ve said it over and over again, you can’t serve from an empty vessel.
Day 31…You got this!
